As President of CBRE’s Infrastructure & Energy sector, Matt leads >7,000 employees delivering commercial real estate services for businesses spanning the natural resources, energy, and civil infrastructure markets globally.
The team is well known for their work with commercial energy explorers, extractors, generators, transmitters, and distributors; key transportation providers in sea, rail and air; and public services. Collectively, they manage >34K sites, >20K+ projects/yr, and >$1.1B in facilities operating expenses annually.
Matt previously led the Infrastructure, Defense & Public Enterprise sector with >1,000 employees serving clients with high-trust missions and environments spanning the defense industrial base, power utilities, and government markets.
With two decades of industry experience, Matt has delivered and led client services in Facilities Management, Project Management, Transaction Management, Technology, Finance, and Strategy.
Prior to CBRE, Matt served on the United States National Security Council (US-NSC) as Director of Resilience, coordinating operations and policy for globally significant events involving the National Security Advisor (NSA) and the President of the United States (POTUS). He served as Chief of Staff to the US General Services Administration’s (GSA) Office of Emergency Response and Recovery, where he was responsible for aligning private sector support to the federal government’s disaster response and reconstruction efforts around the world.
Matt began his career with Ernst & Young Real Estate Advisory Services and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP Construction Litigation. He holds degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology’s schools of Building Construction and Law.
